Introduction
School of Nursing, Mardan established in year 1986 at DHQ hospital Mardan.
This institution is facilitating communities of District Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshehra, Malakand and Swat.
Background
Previously it was known as Nursing/Public Health School as it has produced Nurses, LHV’s and CMW’s but in year 2005 the Public Health School has derecognized by PNC inspection committee due to insufficient resources, faculty and no separate building for LHV training.
In year 1999 a new building constructed in premises of Mardan Medical Complex by World Bank funded “Family Health Project”. Therefore existing faculty and students has been shifted to the newly constructed building at MMC in June 1999 under the PHSA network.
Objectives
- To provide latest Education system for (04)Year Nursing Degree
- To use effective communication and leadership skills in inter-professional teams to promote positive change in the health care of women, newborns and families.
